RipWorth Terms of Service

Effective from October 29, 2026. This is a translation; in case of any discrepancy, the Polish version (Regulamin) is binding.

§ 1. Service Provider and definitions

  1. The RipWorth service is provided by Mateusz Ryś, a natural person carrying out an unregistered business activity (Art. 5(1) of the Polish Entrepreneurs’ Law – Prawo przedsiębiorców), correspondence address: Tymbark 131, 34-650 Tymbark, Poland, e-mail: contact@ripworth.com (the “Service Provider”).
  2. App – the RipWorth software for recognizing and pricing collectible cards, together with the stream overlay (OBS) and related features.
  3. Demo – the free, publicly available demo version of the App at demo.ripworth.com.
  4. Customer – a person who has concluded the Agreement with the Service Provider: a business (company) or a private individual.
  5. Consumer – a Customer who is a natural person concluding the Agreement for purposes not directly related to their business or professional activity (Art. 221 of the Polish Civil Code). The Consumer rights under these Terms also apply to an entrepreneur who is a natural person, for whom the Agreement is not of a professional nature (Art. 38a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act).
  6. Agreement – the agreement for making the App available, concluded under these Terms.
  7. Subscription – a paid period of use of the App (a multiple of one month) under the selected plan.
  8. License Key – the Customer’s individual code that activates the App; Payment Reference – the Customer’s code to be stated in the transfer description.

§ 2. Scope of services

  1. The Service Provider provides the following services by electronic means: (a) making the ripworth.com website available, (b) making the Demo available, (c) making the App available during the trial period and under a Subscription, (d) sending e-mail messages related to the Agreement.
  2. Use of the website and the Demo is free of charge and requires no registration. The Demo may be limited (among other things, a recognition limit, a disabled shop panel and disabled streaming features) and may be changed or discontinued at any time.
  3. The features included in each plan are described in the price list on ripworth.com as of the date the Agreement is concluded.

§ 3. Technical requirements

  1. Using the website and the Demo requires a device with internet access and an up-to-date browser – Chrome or Edge is recommended; in other browsers some features (e.g. window capture) may not work. Scanning with a camera requires the browser’s permission to use the camera.
  2. The App runs on the Customer’s computer with Windows 10 or 11 (8 GB of RAM and approx. 5 GB of free disk space recommended) and requires a constant internet connection (card prices and images are downloaded on an ongoing basis). Without contact with the license server, the App keeps working for up to 7 days. Streaming features require OBS Studio. An active e-mail address is required for the Agreement.
  3. Providing unlawful content is prohibited, including attempts to disrupt the operation of the Demo or the Service Provider’s servers.
  4. Specific risks (Art. 6 of the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means): using the internet involves risks such as malware, interception of data transmissions or impersonation of service providers (phishing). The Service Provider encrypts connections (HTTPS) and never asks for passwords by e-mail. The License Key and the shop panel password must be protected from third parties.

§ 4. Conclusion of the Agreement and trial period

  1. The Customer fills out the form at ripworth.com/en/start.html: chooses a plan, indicates whether they are a business (providing the company name and, optionally, a VAT ID or company registration number) or a private individual, provides the name of their shop or channel and their e-mail address, and accepts these Terms. The Customer then confirms the e-mail address by clicking the link in the message (valid for 48 hours).
  2. The Agreement is concluded when the License Key is sent to the Customer – automatically after the e-mail address is confirmed. The Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period.
  3. The first 14 days are a free trial period of the full version. The trial period is available once per Customer – one per e-mail address, tax ID and computer.
  4. After the trial period no automatic charges are made. A Customer who wishes to continue using the App pays for a Subscription (§ 5). If the Customer does not pay, the App stops recognizing cards and showing prices; data stored on the Customer’s computer is not deleted. The Agreement expires if no Subscription is paid within 30 days of the end of the trial period or of the last paid period.
  5. The License Key can be activated on up to 3 computers with the App installed, unless the parties agree otherwise. One installation can be used in any number of browsers on the shop’s network (e.g. a phone as a remote, OBS). The Service Provider transfers the license to another computer at the Customer’s request sent by e-mail.

§ 5. Fees and payments

  1. The Subscription is payable in advance, for monthly periods, according to the price list in force on the date the Agreement is concluded. For Customers paying in US dollars, the prices are: “Shop” plan – $27 per month, “Shop + Stream” plan – $54 per month. The prices in the price list are final prices – the Service Provider is not a VAT payer (subjective exemption, Art. 113 of the Polish Act on Value Added Tax), so no VAT is added.
  2. Payment is made by international (SWIFT) bank transfer in US dollars (USD) to the Service Provider’s bank account shown on the Customer’s payment page and in e-mail messages, with the Payment Reference in the transfer description. The Customer bears the fees charged by their own bank for the transfer. Paying a multiple of the price pays for a correspondingly greater number of months.
  3. The Subscription is extended once the payment is booked – usually within a few business days of its receipt in the account; the Customer receives an e-mail confirming the booking. The paid period runs from the end of the previous period or, if that period has already ended or a trial period was in progress, from the day of payment.
  4. The Service Provider sends payment reminders by e-mail and by a notice in the App. If payment is not made, the App keeps working for 5 more days after the due date and is then blocked until the payment is booked. Blocking does not delete the Customer’s data.
  5. At the Customer’s request, the Service Provider issues a receipt (rachunek); the Customer agrees to receive it in electronic form.
  6. The Service Provider notifies the Customer of any price list change by e-mail at least 30 days in advance. The new price applies from the next billing period; a Customer who does not accept it may terminate the Agreement before it takes effect.

§ 6. Nature of the valuations

  1. The prices and valuations shown by the App and the Demo come from public market data of third parties (including TCGplayer, Cardmarket, PriceCharting, eBay, NBP) and are for information purposes only. They are neither an offer nor a guarantee of the price at which a card will be bought or sold.
  2. Card recognition is automatic and may be wrong. The Customer should check the result, especially for high-value cards, before deciding to buy or sell.
  3. RipWorth is an independent tool and is not affiliated with game publishers or with the services from which the price data comes. Game names are trademarks of their respective owners.

§ 7. Customer’s obligations

  1. The Customer may not share the License Key with third parties, resell access to the App or circumvent the license protections, including by modifying the App’s code to remove them.
  2. The Customer is responsible for the content they add to the App themselves (logos, sounds, advertising texts on the stream) and for the compliance of their streams with the terms of the platforms on which they stream.

§ 8. Availability and liability

  1. The Service Provider makes every effort to keep the App and the price data available without interruption but does not guarantee this – in particular in the event of outages at data providers, maintenance work or failures beyond the Service Provider’s control.
  2. The Service Provider is not liable for the Customer’s business decisions made on the basis of the valuations, or for lost profits.
  3. The Service Provider’s total liability to the Customer under the Agreement is limited to the amount of fees paid by the Customer in the 3 months preceding the event, unless the damage was caused intentionally.
  4. The limitations in sections 2 and 3 do not apply to Consumers. The Service Provider’s liability to a Consumer for the conformity of the digital service with the Agreement is governed by Chapter 5b of the Polish Consumer Rights Act – in the event of non-conformity, the Consumer may demand that the service be brought into conformity and, in the cases specified in that Act, a price reduction, or may withdraw from the Agreement.

§ 9. Complaints

  1. Complaints about the operation of the website, the Demo or the App can be sent to contact@ripworth.com, describing the problem (preferably with a sample card photo if it concerns recognition).
  2. The Service Provider responds to a complaint within 14 days of receiving it. An accepted complaint concerning unavailability of the App attributable to the Service Provider lasting longer than 3 days results in a proportional fee reduction or an extension of the Subscription.
  3. A Consumer may use out-of-court dispute resolution methods, including the assistance of a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or a provincial inspectorate of the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). Information: uokik.gov.pl.

§ 10. Withdrawal, duration and termination of the Agreement

  1. Right of withdrawal. A Consumer may withdraw from the Agreement without giving any reason within 14 days of its conclusion by sending a statement by e-mail to contact@ripworth.com (the Consumer may, but does not have to, use the model form set out in Annex 2 to the Polish Consumer Rights Act). Since these 14 days fall within the free trial period, withdrawal within this period involves no costs. If the Consumer has paid for a Subscription before this period expires and withdraws from the Agreement, the Service Provider refunds the payment within 14 days, using the same method by which it was made, unless the Consumer agrees to another method.
  2. The Agreement is extended for further billing periods once the Subscription is paid. The Customer may terminate it at any time by e-mail, or simply stop paying for further periods (§ 4(4)). Termination takes effect at the end of the paid period; fees for a period that has already begun are non-refundable, subject to section 1 and § 8(4).
  3. The Service Provider may terminate the Agreement with 30 days’ notice, or without notice in the event of a gross breach of § 7 by the Customer. If the Service Provider terminates the Agreement through no fault of the Customer, it refunds a proportional part of the fee for the unused period.

§ 11. Personal data and e-mail messages

  1. The rules for processing personal data are described in the Privacy Policy.
  2. Messages related to the Agreement (the key, instructions, reminders about the end of the trial period and about payment, payment confirmations) are part of the service. The Service Provider sends news and updates only with separate, voluntary consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

§ 12. Final provisions

  1. The Service Provider may amend these Terms for important reasons (changes in the law, changes in the scope of services, security considerations), notifying Customers by e-mail at least 14 days before the changes take effect. A Customer who does not accept the changes may terminate the Agreement before they take effect.
  2. Matters not governed by these Terms are subject to Polish law, in particular the Polish Civil Code, the Polish Consumer Rights Act and the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means. This does not deprive consumers of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
  3. Disputes with Customers who are businesses are resolved by the court having jurisdiction over the Service Provider’s place of residence; disputes with Consumers – by the court having jurisdiction under the general rules.
